
Harvey began his career as a comedian. He appeared in stand-up comedy shows during the mid-80s. He also hosted Showtime at the Apollo and The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. Following his appearance in the Kings of Comedy Tour's Original King of Comedy he was a guest in The Original Kings of Comedy. The last stand-up event he did was in the year 2012. Harvey was host of the Family Feud host since 2010 as well as the Celebrity Family Feud host ever since. He has also hosted Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young, as well as Steve Harvey's Funderdome. His books are his bestsellers Act Like a Lady and Think Like a Man.
