Cynthia started her fashion-modeling career after she moved from New York. After a brief period Cynthia was signed to a five-year agreement for a 5-year contract with Wihelmina Models. It led to a highly successful book and the cover of Essence Magazine. Cynthia's Essence cover, which was the most-sold in magazine history, was also Susan Taylor's most-loved. Cynthia got her second image shortly thereafter and was the beginning of her successful career. After that, she travelled towards Paris as well as Milan. In Milan, she appeared on the runways for Paris Fashion Week as well as Milan Fashion Week. After living abroad for almost an entire an entire year Cynthia returned to New York City and took part highly sought-after for to launch campaigns in Maybelline, Oil of Olay and Macy's.
