The smash hit album Lita was released in 1989, served as the trigger for her return. The lead single "Kiss My Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. She stayed out of the music industry for a several years following her sluggish popularity. After releasing 'Black in 1995 as well as a year after that, "Wicked Wonderland" came out, and she was back. Her most recent album, Time Capsule was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
